The below video explains the different rep types, how they may benefit your business and how to set one up. It will also show you how to send them an invitation to become a rep/affiliate.

Add A New Rep

You can add a new Rep by going to People>Reps:

  • Click Add a new Rep
  • Rep Type - Select what type of Rep you are adding:
    • Rep Only - enter an Email address for this Rep
    • Rep & Recommended Venue - select a Venue that you'd like to link this Rep to. (Also ensure that this Recommended Venue has an Email Address present on their Venue page if you want to notify them about their Rep account via email further down).
    • Rep & Staff member - select a Staff member that you'd like to link this Rep to.
  • Rep Name - Enter the name of your Rep, eg. Joe.
  • Rep I.D - The Rep I.D is automatically generated by the BoothBook system, this is an I.D which is unique to the Rep and included within their Referral link to identify the bookings that they refer.
  • Commission/Type - For these two fields you will need to enter the amount of Commission you would like to pay the rep per booking, eg. 10. The choose the Type of commission, this can either be a Fixed rate or Percentage of the total amount of the booking the Rep has referred.
  • Rep Notification Email - When adding or updating a Rep, you have the option to tick Send Rep Notification Email. When ticked and once the page is saved, their notification e-mail will be sent to them. You also have the option to update their individual Rep Notification E-mail Subject and Email content (default text for these areas can be updated via Global Reps Settings). Their email subject and content will revert to the default text if this option is unticked.
  • Click Save

Manage Reps

Manage Reps by going to by going to People>Reps:

  • View a Rep's earned commissions and referral links by clicking on Dashboard - see more at View Commissions and Manage Payment Requests
  • Update a Rep's details such as name, rep ID or commission amount by clicking on edit.
  • Remove Reps from your system by clicking on delete for the applicable Rep. Once deleted:
    • Previous bookings that their Commission was earned on will still show in the bookings list (under the folder icon) but no Name will appear for it.
    • If any future visitors still use that Rep's referral link, they will still land on your booking page, but commission will not be recorded or earned on that booking.
