This article is for people who would like to change their BoothBook subdomains e.g from booking.oldbusiness.com to booking.newbusiness.com. Make sure you have created your new Domain name eg. booking.newbusiness.com and make sure it is pointing to the right server.

  1. Go to your domain hosting account for your old subdomain (eg. booking.oldbusiness.com) and find out which IP address it is pointing at.
  2. Copy the IP address your old subdomain is pointing to. Go to your domain hosting account for your new subdomain (eg. booking.newbusiness.com), add a new A record using the IP address you copied. This will ensure a simple transfer with no downtime, as we do not need to move your data across servers.
  3. Once you have added a new A record , your new subdomain (eg. booking.newbusiness.com) should now point to the correct server and will point to a page which looks similar to this:

4. Once ready, inform the BoothBook team via Live Chat who will raise an invoice for £30.00* Once settled, they will update your database and folder names and switch your BoothBook domains over. The BoothBook team will confirm once this has been completed.

5. If you have customers who have already received booking links via your old subdomain, then these will not work unless you create a redirect for your old subdomain (eg. booking.oldbusiness.com) and point it at your new subdomain (eg. booking.newbusiness.com)
