How to add a vehicle

Vehicles are managed from their own Vehicles view. It may already be in your sidebar. If it isn't, open your Profile at the bottom left, go to Settings, then Menu, then Add Menu, select Vehicles as the Menu Item Destination, and save.

Choosing how you view your vehicles

Table view is the standard option, with all your columns lined up, next inspection, insurance renewal, registration plate, and whatever else you're tracking.

You're not limited to that. Build your own custom views too, a pipeline, a Kanban board, or anything else that actually suits how your business manages its fleet.

Adding a vehicle

Click Add Vehicle. This opens a form containing every core and custom field you have set up.

Fill in the make, the model, the next inspection date, the insurance renewal date, and the registration plate, along with any custom fields you've added, then click Save. The vehicle is created.

Using it afterward

Once a vehicle exists, you can reference it elsewhere in the system, on jobs, on orders, and anywhere else a vehicle reference field has been added.

This is what makes vehicles worth setting up properly rather than just as a record you glance at occasionally. A well maintained vehicle list becomes a genuinely useful way to manage your whole fleet from one place, rather than something separate from the jobs and orders it's actually being used for.

Where to go next

A separate article covers vehicles more generally, including custom fields and using them to build reminder automations.
