You can find a proposal in two places: on the Proposals page, which lists every proposal, or from the lead it belongs to.
The Proposals page
Go to Proposals in the sidebar. It has three tabs:
Proposals: every proposal you’ve created.
Templates: your proposal templates.
Blocks: your reusable sections.
The Proposals tab is the place to check on everything that’s out with customers, such as which proposals have been opened and which have been accepted.
If you can’t see Proposals in your sidebar, add it: open your profile at the bottom left, go to Settings, then Menu, click + Add Menu, set the destination to Proposals and save.
Finding a proposal from its lead
Every proposal belongs to a lead. Open the lead to find its proposal, along with the quote and the customer’s details.
A lead can have more than one proposal, although you’ll usually only send one. If you’ve created more than one, check the date you created each one so you open the right one.
Checking where a proposal is up to
Open a proposal and go to Activity to see:
when the customer opened it
when they accepted it
which of your team have worked on it
You’re also notified when a customer opens a proposal, so you don’t need to keep checking.
A simple weekly routine
Once a week, look through your open proposals:
Not opened: resend it, or try SMS instead of email.
Opened but not accepted: follow up and ask if they have questions.
Expiring soon: remind the customer the date is held until the expiry date.
Expired: extend it if they’re still interested, or close the lead if not.
