How to create a Project
Projects are created from the projects page. Click add project and a modal opens with everything you need in it.
Project details
Give the project a title, set the status, then pick a primary contact. If that contact doesn't exist yet you can add them here rather than backing out to create them first.
Name the project something you'll recognise later. This is what you'll be searching for and what the client sees.
Scope
The scope tab is where you say what the jobs are going to be.
You can apply a default quote across every job, so if all 7 dates use the same package at the same price you enter it once. Default start and end times work the same way. Anything that varies between jobs can be changed afterwards on the individual job, so treat the defaults as a way to save typing rather than something you're locked into.
Settings
Two choices here. Whether to combine the invoice, so one invoice covers every job instead of one per job. And whether to combine the contract, so one contract covers the whole project instead of one per job.
Most multi-date bookings want both combined, since that's usually why the client asked for a project in the first place.
Save
Saving creates the project and every job inside it. Those jobs are created as leads, so nothing is booked and nothing is blocking your availability yet.
Convert
The leads sit there until you're ready. A banner at the top of the project tells you how many are still unconfirmed.
When the client has signed off, convert them. Every lead becomes a booking and the full availability check runs at that point.
It works this way so you can quote a client for 8 dates without holding 8 dates in your diary. If they only take 5, you've held nothing you didn't need. If a clash comes back during conversion, deal with that date and convert the rest.
