Start here: set up and complete your first test booking
Every new trial gets a get started guide with five steps. This article walks through what each one covers and why the order matters, so you move through your setup properly rather than guessing what to do first.
Step 1: Set your branding
Start with your logo, an icon, your website link, your phone number and your brand colours, then set up your home page.
This step matters more than it looks like it should, because your branding carries through everywhere a customer touches your account. Your invoices, your contracts, your client portal, every URL a customer sees, all of it uses what you set here. Get this right first and everything you build afterward already looks like it belongs to your business, rather than needing fixing up later.
Step 2: Check your pricing
This step takes you to your Store, where you define your services, packages and products.
You do not have to build this from scratch by hand. There is an AI helper here worth using properly.
Give it a voice note describing what you offer, upload a photo of an existing brochure, upload a CSV, or paste the URL of your current pricing page, and it will work out your packages, pricing, duration, description and even a photo from whatever you give it.
Even if you plan to refine everything afterward, starting from something the AI has already built is faster than starting from a blank page.
Step 3: Set up a way to get paid
Go to Payment Settings to choose how you take payment.
You can enable offline methods such as cash, cheque or bank transfer, or connect a payment gateway. Stripe and Square are the main ones, alongside a range of others. Click on the gateway you want, click connect, and follow their authorisation flow.
Step 4: Complete a test booking
Go to your Bookings page, then Forms, and open your booking form.
There are two ways to test it properly.
Submit the form itself, in a new tab, exactly as a customer would, then stop before you actually complete payment. Or skip the public form entirely and build a booking directly from the admin side instead.
Both avoid the risk of a real charge going through, which matters once you have already connected a live payment gateway in step three. Submitting the public form and actually paying at that point risks taking a genuine payment rather than a test one, so use one of the two methods above instead.
Step 5: Book your onboarding call
Once you have made it through the first four steps, book a free onboarding call with our team.
This is where most of the smaller questions get answered properly, in the time it takes to ask rather than searching for it yourself. The most common ones are how to view your data, how to create forms, where to set your contract text, and where to find and manage your client portal.
You do not need to wait for the call to look any of this up yourself. Our help documentation covers each of these in detail, so use the call for anything specific to how your business works, and the documentation for anything you can figure out on your own in the meantime.
